At a recent Civil Funeral ceremony, the deceased’s dog was also present to say his farewells.  Faithful to the end, the little dog stayed close to the coffin.  Such events are not unusual at a civil ceremony and are part of ensuring that the service is a personal representation of all parts of the life of the deceased.

(Happily, a friend of the deceased has now given the dog a home.)

‘A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won’t be too bad.”
